Course Description
* Most tribal court personnel do not have adequate substantive (written) code sections relating to criminal procedure. Most early drafted tribal law & order codes neglected to be developed with the full range of procedural standards in a criminal setting. * Consequently, it is important for tribal judges, clerks and prosecutors to be aware of all the substantive provisions that should be developed in criminal prosecution to protect the general welfare of the entire tribal community. Today tribal courts are too often criticized for not providing the full spectrum of procedural safeguards in criminal prosecutions. * This course will include reference and instruction on court computer software for the purpose of tracking criminal and civil matters. Finally, there will be an opportunity for all participants to be involved in a mock Court Jury Trial. * FOR MORE INFORMATION ON THIS COURSE, INCLUDING – ON-LINE REGISTRATION – JUST VISIT OUR WEBSITE @ www.montanaandassociates.com, WHERE YOU CAN REGISTER AND VIEW ALL OUR CURRENT COURSE OFFERING.
